Meet Lisa
Italian Language and Wine Educator
Lisa Saunders is an Italian language and culture educator and wine professional known for creating engaging, high-level learning experiences that are as entertaining as they are substantive. She holds a BA in Italian Studies from The American University of Rome, a Master’s degree from the University of Florence, and a second Master’s in Italian Studies from NYU La Pietra. She is WSET Level 3 certified and serves as General Manager of Astor Center, a leading wine education school in Manhattan.
Having lived and worked extensively in Italy, Lisa brings deep cultural fluency, practical Italian skills, and a lively teaching style to her programs. She has designed and led private classes and seminars for Yahoo, Goodwin Procter, Samsung, RBC Bank, and National Geographic Expeditions, and has collaborated with Edward Jones, Davis Polk, and Meta.
