Celebrate Ferragosto

Ciao a tutti!

Ok so it looks like many of you have already caught on to the Italians by going on vacation the week including August 15th. We have moved the wine class to August 22, 6:30 - 8 pm! Luckily, as I explain below, a true Ferragosto lasts 2-3 weeks, so we're still well within the proper timeframe to celebrate.

Have you ever visited any city in Italy in mid-August and wondered if you've somehow stumbled into the Italian post-apocalypse? That's because of Ferragosto, an Italian holiday celebrating full-blast summer so everyone heads off to the beach or mountains and typically lasts 1 - 3 weeks. Sounds like the perfect way to escape the oppressive city heat, huh?

Back my popular demand, this Italian rosé class is centered around the history and culture of Ferragosto: it's ancient Roman origins and its development in to modern Italian culture.

Expect all Italian rosé wines featuring an exclusive in-depth look into their region of origin, harmonious pairings and light-hearted chatter about everything we love about Italy. By the end of the class, you'll be tossing Italian words like pizza dough - you'll be amazed at how much you already know!

Here are the details:

When: August 22nd 6:30-8:00 + bonus time to finish bottles and mingle

Can’t make it on the 15th? Let me know if Aug. 22nd is better for you and I’ll move the class based on demand.
